Oh Me Oh My !

Time do really fly. It's already summer and my oldest daughter and my mom is here. 

Today my mom is going back to Sweden after spending 4 weeks here with us. How I wish Sweden wasn't so far away as it is and it'll be even more difficult when the time comes for my daughter to go back too. I don't really want to think about it , but just to try to enjoy the time we have now
 

I have managed to get some time off for running and some time on the mountain bike, mostly as a transport though. My one knee has been arguing  with me so I haven't been able to be running as much I would like, but at least I've been out for a few miles :)

I haven't been out with my friend that much , but I have a few new pics.

Just popping in....

    ...feels so good to have got started again :)

Today when the little monkey and I went to pick up her brother "tornado", from school, we saw some real signs of spring, yay!

Going for a run...

     ...I think. 

It hasn't been that much running this winter or, so far, this spring. The weather, an arguing knee, and a really bad flu has been like sticks thrown into my spokes. I will start very easy and try not to overdo it.

9 weeks and 4 days left....

   ...then, two of my most loved ones are coming for the summer  :)

Contemplating...

...a lot and to find the answer or answers can sometimes be very hard. Sometimes they are just difficult to find, sometimes they are just not the ones you'd wished for. For me it's sometimes very hard, that's not quite right, I'll reformat that sentence. For me it's hard to just accept that things are the way they are. I so often struggle with finding another solution and I can be very stubborn , refusing to give in/up. I guess that is sometimes good , but sometimes not so good for oneself''s sanity or peace :)

Well, well, there is always a solution, just not always the one you want or wish for....but there is also something called compromise too, I like those :)

Spring break is over...

...and so is the birthday. 

We have all had a really bad flu, really bad. The whole shooting match, coughing, fever, earache, headache, sinuses. I hope that's all for this year. Fortunately we were well enough in time to celebrate the little monkey and have some cake.

Another big day, tomorrow...

...youngest one's birthday. She is turning 4, my little monkey. I am so excited to see her reaction to the tutus and fairy skirt. I think the tutus will make her scream out really loud, "I wished, I wished "

I have...

... a glass cabinet, I will start filling up with these pretty little tea cups. My youngest daughter finds them very pretty too. She'll be four on Friday, my little monkey, I'll cross my fingers and hold my thumbs, that she will leave the cups alone.

Yesterday's find.

...I went to a flea market and finally got something started. I have for   quite some time been thinking of collecting tea cups. I now have my first four and a creamer.

A big day it is..

....my oldest daughter's birthday.

     I love you so very much. I wish for you to have an extra wonderful day!

I am so excited...

...my youngest daughter's birthday is coming up.

     One of her wishes is a ballerina tutu, of course a pink one, and there is also going to be a fairy skirt/tutu too. The colours for that one are black, dark and light purple. So last night, her dad and I went to Fabricland to check out the colours and fabrics. Today I went back and got a few things with me.

8 meter of dark and light pink tulle.
1/2 meter black silk.
2 meter see through silk.
1 meter dark purple see through silk.
1 meter light purple see through silk.
Black and white elastic band.
5 spools of thread in black and two hues of purple.

I can hardly wait to get started.

Some softness for today.

...the weather got pretty bad , quite a lot of snow in very short time. 

     I went to a floral store last night and got some flowers , today's photo is showing one/some of them.

Here we go again...

...another winter storm watch and warning is issued, starting tonight but is supposed to be mostly for tomorrow.

     I guess we might be in for another "school free" day. We'll see what happens, at this time I'm kind of OK, with the weather.

     I know for sure that spring is really on her way. Yesterday, on our way home from school, I saw and showed my youngest son the leaves of Snowdrops, yaay!!! This morning we saw buds on the Forsythia, so yes, the very missed and longed for spring is on her way.

Time flies..

     Time really flies, I miss my family, especially my oldest daughter.

Another day..

..of cold and winter. 

     I would say that approx 75% of the days of winter I complain about the weather. You don't ever here me say one negative word  about the heat and humidity during the summer, I'm just a big smile.

Today is ...

Family Day Holiday. 

     A cold, snowy and windy day, not tempting at all to be outside.

A little bit of sunshine.

...she's peeking out today. We're going to Dufferin Island to feed the birds, hmm, maybe that won't work so well. 

I just went to the weather network site and there they say we are on a winter storm watch, again ! I guess King Bore is not ready to leave quite yet.

Longing for spring.

  It feels like it's been winter for a whole year, I'm so tired of snow and cold, cold temperatures.

This is how it feels for me every year, so it's nothing new really, and then when spring finally arrives, I am so happy and relieved.

 

...and here comes another try...

...I have a problem, I think, with titles and fonts and all that, a newbie as I am. 

Well, well, well seems like it's working now. 

This is mainly going to be a photo blog, where I will let my images talk for themselves. Sometimes I might add a word or five, we'll see where this will take me.
